VIBRANT POCKETS, BATH

A suspended canopy of foraged foliage reconfigures the space, drawing attention to the presence of Bath’s urban landscape. Gathered from across the city, Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata), Yew (Taxus baccata) and Portuguese Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus) are held just above reach - familiar materials, displaced and reassembled.

Scent arrives before form; cedar meets you at the threshold, subtle but insistent. Cut, soaked and arranged by hand, the foliage continues to shift as it dries and settles.

The installation incorporates carefully and responsibly sourced material, collected in small amounts from multiple locations, with care taken to avoid impact on surrounding green spaces.
