Planting is at the heart of my approach.

Plants are selected for their form, texture, colour, seasonality and ability to thrive in the particular conditions of the site. I enjoy combining familiar plants with less commonly seen species to create planting that feels natural, layered and full of character.

The planting plan provides the framework, but the final arrangement is often refined on site. Plants are positioned and adjusted by eye, considering their relationship with one another, the surrounding architecture, views and the changing light throughout the day.

This hands-on approach allows the planting to be balanced and natural, rather than simply following a plan on paper.
