I am interested in gardens that feel as though they belong.
I design sensitively in response to the character of each place. Decisions are guided by function, meaning and instinct, rather than fashion.
Planting is central to how I design, shaping the character and atmosphere of a garden through moments of enclosure and openness, light and shade, abundance and restraint, familiarity and surprise.
Matt's work has been featured on BBC Gardeners’ World and Gardens Illustrated, where he was named their ‘One to Watch’ - one of 25 individuals set to make waves in horticulture in 2025.
